About Caflon Piercing

Caflon piercing is a quick and convenient method of creating first and second earlobe piercings using a specialist piercing instrument and sterile piercing studs. Before every appointment, we carefully assess the size, shape and condition of the earlobes to make sure this piercing method is suitable.

Our Caflon piercing service is available for first and second lobe piercings only. We do not use the Caflon system on cartilage or other areas of the body. Every client receives clear aftercare guidance to help keep their new piercings clean and support comfortable healing.

What is Caflon piercing?

Caflon piercing uses a specialist ear piercing instrument to gently place a sterile stud through the earlobe. It is commonly chosen for lobe piercings because the process is quick and the jewellery is inserted immediately.

Which piercings can be completed using Caflon?

We use Caflon for earlobe piercings only. We do not offer cartilage, helix or other body piercings using this method.

Is Caflon piercing suitable for every earlobe?

While the Caflon System can be used for cartilage piercing safely, we at Sparkle Like Jaye only offer lobe piercing using the Caflon system as we use the needle method for all other services. We will assess your ears before the appointment and let you know whether the treatment can be carried out safely and comfortably.

The method we use for cartilage piercing services

At Sparkle Like Jaye we only offer sterile needle piercing for the cartilage and our body piercing services.

Cartilage has no blood supply whereas the earlobe does have a blood supply. which means it can take longer to heal. A needle allows appropriate jewellery to be fitted with enough room to accommodate swelling and support the healing process.
